What use are spies?

I have active spies in various areas! However, whenever I order them to do something there is never any response from them! I only ask them to perform simple tasks - eg is there large army in Bruges?, please report - but nothing happens! What am I doing wrong? How can I get the best from my spies?

Read my beginners and Advanced guide to the game to see about spies failing that email or PM I will give you some tips

I am sure that Kingmaker will be of great help.....I recently asked a spy to try and let me know of any troop movements in a capital city, and he managed to successfully burgle the Ministry of the Army, without being detected and provided me with FULL enemy troop strengths and disposition....lovely !

hehe.. there are many ways to gain that information you will be surprised at what they can do IF the instruction is phrased correctly to Richard
