What's in a name?

Post by Marshal Bombast on Wed Jan 28, 2009 6:46 pm

Hi all, just thought you might find the following website resource of use. If you're anything like me choosing names for characters is difficult. The site may make things easier for us - then again maybe it gives too much choice Exclamation

I need to post some of the sites that I use as well. It is certainly difficult to do the naming game. I often find myself using the phone book! lol!

I use genuine names where I can or a mixture of surnames and forenames for that country

I try that as well.. I have printed out the wiki on the nobility of the era that we are in and will any many ways try to use the same. However, I like to throw a curve at the names for military officers at times. I believe that a well prepared armed forces list gives Richard extra fodder to work with when he is preparing the articles.
