Rulebook questions
G'day everyone,
Well, I have my rule book and have had a couple of reads
. There are a few things which (in my blindness) I either could not see or have misinterpreted. Richard, is there any chance you could answer some dumb questions for me?
Here's my first lot:
1. are railways available for Army Columns or just Characters?
2. can Naval Squadrons on Blockade permit the entry of my allies?
3. can a General Drill troops that are in Reserve?
4. the Emperor
loves his toys. Can he have more than one Arms Bureau?
5. is Probing with more than 1 unit a player decision or will the General decide at the time?
6. why would I build a telegraph in my Home Country?
7. the rulebook refers to garrisons but doesn't seem to have a specifc order to Garrison troops (eg in a Fortress as opposed to open country). Why is this?
Thanks,
john

Re: Rulebook questions
Found the answer to 1. Railways and Armies and the answer is yes. So we ALSO know I need to read things three times.

Re: Rulebook questions
John... I have not been able to get an email through to you. Is there trouble down there because of the fires?

Re: Rulebook questions
Hi revaughan - no, no issue because of the fires. I'm based in suburban Sydney and the terrible fires are in another state, in the wooded hinterland. Thanks for your concern - the death toll and property damage is, well... words escape me. People losing their homes of a lifetime within half an hour and entire towns flattened. We expect the death toll to rise over 200 as the debris is cleared.
Reason for not responding to emails could be that I've not been at work for a couple of days because of a summer cold. Last week's 38 celsius (>100 F) weather changed overnight to 20 c (68 F) and somehow I've managed to catch a chill. Sounds stupid I know, but this is just me proving that I am human (as my kids will readily attest!).
Should be back on deck Monday. Hope all is well.

Re: Rulebook questions
I think I have your home email address and will pull copies of them and send them to your home. We have been warm here as well, but the cold weather is right around the corner here.
