    Ottoman Syria Empty Ottoman Syria

I've been traveling a great deal on business recently. Sometimes it has its perks.

Last week, I got to steal a day with a business colleague in Jerusalem and temple mount was open.

Here's a picture of the Dome of the Rock, I took (some of the images aren't great since I just used my cellphone camera, having left my proper camera home...)

Pilgrims praying in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at Golgotha. Underneath the Altar where they are kneeling is a hole that goes down to the rock where supposedly Christ was cruxified.

The fifth station of the Cross where Christ first stumbled and Simon helped him, also the beginning of the via dolorosa

The room where the last supper was held, above the tomb of king david.

never been to this city, but everytime I see photo's or film footage I love what I see. Shame the beauty of the region also comes with such conflict.

    lovely photo's.

The huge walls surrounding Ramallah and the various Palestinian areas were stark reminders of the political realities of the area.
