spreadsheets and budgets

I have to laugh a little at myself. I've got a spreadsheet open and am carefully planning the year's budget expenditures and deciding which slush funds I need and for what.

I'm paying money to pretend to be a government bureaucrat!

Out of curiosity, how much do other players build out detailed budget plans for the year, or do just figure out your trade and then how much you're going to hold for other purposes?

This year's expenditure already worked out. I decided what I wanted held in reserve, drew up a list of what I wanted to build and then prioritised to fit within budget. What doesn't get done this year gets put off until next financial year.

Lead armies?! You must be joking! People get killed doing that, and as such, there are men to do such things...

True, and generally they are the great unwashed.

I plan a 5 year plan (its the Russian in me ) and stick to that ubless some thing like a war reares its ugly head.....
