My recent letters seem to take two months to deliver, and recieve. I expect spy action is afoot. Or could it be an internal challenge developing? I do not seem to have any internal spies. I lost them a couple of years ago, and did not replace them.So until May i seem stranded. Another six months to go. Is there any other way of tracking letters?

Re: spy action?
Hi, yes it is game six.Hello Count, if memory serves me, you are England in game six, i think. I am often getting two months of letters in one go.Which can be a problem if you are expecting something important. This has happened the last threee or four turns now. If it is happening to you as well, it is not a spying problem, the worst thing is, not knowing. A clerical error is one thing, in game action is another. Either way, it would be nice to know. I know Portugal has had the same problem a couple of turns ago.

Re: spy action?
there is a way of tracking mail (in game not real life) but would require spies also i would put on your mail the following
via: Embassy and Armed Courier
That way it gets delivered by a postie with a gun to stop people nicking it

Re: spy action?
I am so paranoid I would suspect the postie with a gun !
I would have to order via armed courier, who is to be spied on by a spy, who himself is to be accompanied by an armed soldier to make sure he is doing his job. And just to make sure the armed soldier is doing his job I would have to go as well. I have enough duties already as a King !!!

Re: spy action?
Thats four players in game six, saying their post is slower. Could this be an admin problem? or, is one Nation spying on all the others, intercepting their mail? If so, who is it?

Re: spy action?
Hmmm would suggest a GM thing.
However I would suggest tracking said mail and ask ambassador to that state to report THAT month that it has arrived, if not then some one is intercepting them.

Re: spy action?
Or could it be the admin delaying things a bit to make us all think someone is spying on us, sowing discord and mistrust to liven things up?

Re: spy action?
Richard does seem to hold things for great distance or for the weather certain times of the year. I can't say that I mind it and it certainly adds a level of realism.

Personally, I'd like to know how that editor gets copy from privy conversations with my counselors! I expect being so old my counselors have to shout to be heard and the servants pick it up!

Re: spy action?
Sometimes stating that matters are to be handled in writing with nothing spoken is good. I have had little trouble if I take every effort to keep maters "private".

Speak up, my son, I can't hear you. :-)
I don't really mind. If I did, I wouldn't write it the way I did. I enjoy the roleplay of it. I've had more interesting conversations that fortunately haven't ended up in the paper....

Re: spy action?
Agreed... At times I instruct characters to be heard and to spread misinformation. You never know what is being reported and whether or not I wanted it out. I like that part of the game fore sure!
