Game turn, turn around?

Hi All

New to this so; when should I expect my turn reply?

I have just started playing in game 8 and the dead line for getting our stuff back is tomorrow the 21st. On average how long does it take for the turn to come back?

current turn-around to me, appears to be around 7 to 10 days.

I would estimate turn reply of Game 8 is early July. I don´t know if the turn of Scramble for Empire is already out but he need also to do Game 3 before Game 8. So i fear you will have to wait 2 weeks.

Hopefully Richard will soon be back to his old turn cycle of 1 week.

I think the waiting time has got longer recently. This has lead to some players playing in more than one game of LGDR. That way you always have a turn to work on.

I originally only wanted to play in one game myself. But then I ended up signing up for another game... I've been thinking of maybe a 3rd, but I'm not sure I want to get into a well established game. That, and the fact that I also try to keep the wiki up to date, and add new content as it becomes available...

LGDR can sure be like crack sometimes! Should carry a health warning (like WoW should!).

I picked up a position in game 3 to get a feel for the game while waiting for game 8 to start. I've learned some important things about the game that aren't really documented properly, so it did help in that sense.

I found it enjoyable enough that for the moment I'm playing both games, but I have found that entering a well-established game has some pretty big challenges.

Yes. Nothing can beat a fresh game. Its alright picking up a position in a well established game but you are always at a disadvantage. The trick is,to join a new game from the start and stick with it.

Game 3 arrived today, that is 8 days after deadline.

I'm surprised at the new newspaper layout. I like it.

yes I am impressed too turn was quite interesting as well, lots to read and action this month!!!!

about a week after the game replay date i start getting excited and check my hotmail about 4 times a day in case the turn comes, that is how addictive it is!

I have also joined 2 games, and find that the "extended" wait between turrns is actually helpful as it gives me time to strategise for both. i love being in two games because you can take risks in one of them (yes game 2!) and play it safe in another (game eight) and still get satisfaction.

8 days anticipation building!!

yes, make that more like i check hotmail 15 times a day! any more anticipation and I will have to have hotmail implanted into my right eye, and wink to refersh.

I bet it will be out tomorrow morning.

Game 6 arrived today, 3 days after deadline and deadline is exactly 3 weeks after last deadline. Is all games going to reach that speed perhaps?

I was shocked how quickly game 8 came back, but turn around last deadline to next is 4 weeks.

Game 2 landed on my lap today just 2 days after the deadline. Too quick. I'm still working on game 8!

Still waiting for my game 2 return, last turn was here the day after posting in UK. I guess I'll just have to remain calm for a couple more days.

G2 issue arrived in sunny Bristol today along with copy of Militar & Geschichte. Thanks for that......nice pictures pity about my lack of German.

Nothing much happened apart from the surprise Swedish attack which captured Berlin (sorry not April 1st yet). So it seems that as rule of thumb e.mail arrives one day before UK post 2 days before German post but Sundays may add a extra day.

Oh, no not again.

I guess I'll just have to wait until Monday.

Glad you liked the Magazine. I thought the Crusader bir might be interesting.

Crusades map from the German Viewpoint but they still manage to get in a bit about Richard of England (who was clearly French) slaughtering his POWs at Acre in the 3rd Crusade.

Still think the Agema "Crusade" game had the basis of a good game and could be re-vamped like S for E replaced Gunboat Diplomacy.

If new game is set a bit later I nominate one J Flower Prince of Antioch or King of Jerusalem holding the hordes at bay while awaiting relief? Or is this too much like other games for you?

I'd be more than willing to participate in your new game Stuart.
Unfortunatley on my present form of repelling the uncivilized hordes that have crashed across my boarders in Game 2, your Crusaders would have to be damn quick to save me.
