Just occurred to me I can't remember anyone commenting recently on what is happening in Game 6. I assume it's still going, so how is it playing out? any crisis, wars or is it a relatively calm place?

Re: What's happening in Game 6
It is the usual things
The Shah have been confiscating christian property in Persia.
Spain is complaining that Austria have taken Milan away from them, they do this about once a year.
The Hugenots in France are rebelling and the army is stamping on them.
It is a fun little game and still my favorite, but that is mainly because I play my favorite nation.

Re: What's happening in Game 6
Thanks Ardagor, a useful update
esp as things have improved financially for me (with a new job), I am tempted to return to playing a third game...if I can find the right nation to play...

New players is always a good thing, it keeps the game fresh and exciting and a bit more content in the newspaper.
Good luck with the new job

Jason - don't forget there is a game 9 at some point, but its release date is obviously up to Richard at some time in the future. A new game obviously gives you the choice of whoever you want,

Re: What's happening in Game 6
There have been some talk about game 9, but not from Richard so it will not happen this year at least. Possibly 2013/2014.

Re: What's happening in Game 6
Ardagor-thanks It's not a museum job but still in the wider heritage sector, working for an educational charity that works in environmental and archaeological matters (which also means I can get back to my archaeological roots).
Basileus-I was thinking about hanging on but knowing me, if I do then I'll decide to spend the money elsewhere (on something boring like clearing the credit card ) and I suspect Ardagor is right, we are quite a way off it starting.
Anyway, I'll have a chat with Richard and see what positions are going.
Just a final question, what year is it in Game 6?

Re: What's happening in Game 6
My guess is that until Richard can consistently get game 8 out on a 3 week turnaround, that he isn't going to think about game 9.
Turnaround has been much improved, but still not consistent.

The plunge has been made...and in all fairness to Richard, he has already sent me through some info on the position I've goen for...

Re: What's happening in Game 6
Are the Black Camisards the Hugenots or are they another faction?

Yes, they're the Huguenots. I don't know anything about game 6, just that black Camisards is the term for them.
