Greetings one and all

Post by MarkTurner26 on Sat Nov 03, 2012 10:17 am

Hey all,

Finally got myself here on the forum of the one and only AGEMA!!!!

Have been playing for a while now in several different games, but I am currently playing the Shah of Persia in Game 6. Other nations I have played are the Russians in Game 8 and the Hungarians in Game 2.

Did you play King Ferenc in G2 for a long time & get him married to the Kaisers sister?

Well have to admit, I didnt really get into it, its better to play the russians with Unlimited Diplomatic Orders. Why do you ask? Are you Russia yourself?

Shame you left G2, I think things would have gotten very interesting for you there, if you want to return while the seat is still warm?

Admitted it could get a lot warmer if the Ottomans have anything to do with it.

Thanks for the offer, but I think not this time, maybe at a later date I might rejoin but who knows.

Yeah I had a bit of fun with the Crimean Tartars it was an interesting time then. But being the shah of persia is an interesting proposition

Persia is a position I'd like to try but I worry about the mighty Russians to the north and the Ottomans to the West. I'd also fancy Ethiopia too. But maybe that's for the future.

Its pretty good, I have gone the religious route and its fun, I hopefully will have some major allies soon which will help with the growth of Persia. But I forget how big persia is sometimes.

Russia is of course always a worry for Persia but in the beginning there are quite a bit of distance between Persia and Russia (the Uzbek, Kalmuk, Kazakh act as a buffer).

The Ottomans will probably leave Persia alone if Persia leave them alone. Persia is large and it will take the Turks a large amount of troops and a long time to achieve anything, leaving them exposed to attack from the European side. The Europeans (read Austria) will almost certainly understand that giving the Ottomans the time they need to conquer Persia in peace and quiet will be a very bad idea, as they are probably next on the list.

What you say is mostly true, but as I have noticed in many a game, is that we dont always follow those rules, I have to admit its more fun when they dont.
