Stuck with the problem of repatriating bullion from far-flung foreign shores to my home-country I began to wonder if I could (ab)use Banks to do this, rather than lumping the bullion around physically. Anyone had (or tried) similar ideas? I'm thinking - found a bank at the foreign bullion site with the bullion as capital - open a branch in the home country - somehow (?) draw on funds at the branch. (Or maybe vice-versa - main bank in home country, branch near bullion???)

Re: Banks and Bullion
Bullion can't be moved that way, I think. You can always open another mint, and mint the bullion into currency, but that sort of defeats the point.
