Has anyone any experience of trying to invoke a treaty with a non-player nation? Hypothetically - if I and a fellow-player draw up a formal 3-year treaty of mutual aid, but that player drops out before the three years are up and no-on picks up his realm, and then the conditions arise in which I can invoke the terms of that treaty - has anyone any idea how Richard would play it? Would "his" armies march and generals command - or might there just be a general background level of vague support?

Re: Waking the Dead
If it was I the 1st year of the treaty and the character who signed it in the dropped position the I would think Richard would honour it. But he would control that nation and forces. Middle to end of treaty and he would probably not honour it

No idea. But I think Richard understandably tries to avoid work he doesn't get paid for, so if there was an option to default on the agreement and just ding the honour of said nation, I imagine he might take that route.

Re: Waking the Dead
I agree with Deacon, think he's got it to a T.
At the same time, I think it would also depend on the situation-if you suffered an unprovoked attack and you were appealing for aid from the NPC due to a treaty you had, I think Richard would be more willing to do something, at least that's the feeling I get based on previous experience of asking for aid/support from NPCs when in trouble

Re: Waking the Dead
Just to add an inverse thought... Anyone any ideas on Richard's likely response if (hypothetically), say, a nation were to declare war upon another nation which had mutual-defence treaties with other nations which had reverted to npc? (Hope that's clear!)
