    Torchwood Empty Torchwood

Post by Guest Sat Oct 22, 2016 9:31 pm

Ladies and Gentlemen...and those of you who aren't too sure...

My FB feed reminds me today is the 10th Anniversary of the first broadcast of the Dr Who spin-off "Torchwood"...which has its origins in the Victorian-period Torchwood Institute...

...this seems to be very in-keeping with Scramble...

...which leads me to the question...what is revvaughan secretly up to? Wink

Lord Derby & his fellow Brits are all spiffing chap's who do everything in a honourable and above board manner!!!

This may explain why none of us apart from the Opium Smuggler chaps are close to the honour list.

I still keep expecting the HEIC suddenly to have a new operative, to support Flash, Captain Harkness-deploying a steam-punk laser rifle (and sleeping with everyone...including Flashman)

The heroic Flashman does not need a bi-sexual punk side kick with a big gun to get him out of trouble........when he has got his Cavalry Whiskers and really tight cherry picker pants!!

Oddly enough after various NPC got shot, invaded etc, etc after they mis-treated diplomats Richard and the game seems to be honouring the idea of "diplomatic immunity".

Though I am not sure how the Czar will react to having his diplomat insulted, humiliated and shoved onto a boat to Nippon (where he got arrested) in the middle of a Typhoon. Plus the concept almost did not last the experience of Bismarck being sent to London !!

PS If Jason ever decides to return as Emperor of the French......the good news is the French have good Rifles etc, the Bad news is that you now have the German Envoy to England running his Embassy from Paris. No doubt drinking dodgy green stuff, chasing Chorus Girls and lowering property prices with his **** Tuba.

Actually with the Prince Imperial of France in exile in Britain and in need of "experience" before he returns to save France from the evils of the Republic perhaps what Flashman needs is a Captain Napoleon side kick to study under the Master? But how the hell would I explain to Queen Victoria that I have lost the Prince Imperial:shock:

Just a point of confusion: When you say Jason with the French, is that a different Jason than "Jason" (above) who was the Japanese (if memory serves me correct)?

It all gets very confusing, all these real names and Internet names Cool

BTW. No idea what Torchwood is, so I'll take all your words for it / them/ etc etc.

I stopped playing Nippon a little while back, for me it just wasn't working. Scramble is a great game though.

Torchwood is a Dr Who spin off, won't bore you with all the details Smile But basically it was founded by Queen Vic to defend against aliens and reuse their technology

We are up to much I should say... However, it seems to be a certain group of vampire nuns fall more into the Torchwood genre. We are settling for big guns and territory at the moment. Well... At least that is what we are saying publicly.

Some of us have been reading too much HP Lovecraft recently. This will not bode well for the game, or at least keeping it historical....... or even real........
