Nations You Haven't Played but would like to
Based on a comment by JamesBond007 (about wanting to play England) and some occasional musings of my own, are there any nations you have an interest in playing but haven't yet? If so, any reasons?
For myself
1) The Pope/Papal States. Just sounds interesting and different. It could be interesting to play a bit of a militant pope, one who secretly yearns to reunite all Christians or re-establish the Roman Empire
2) The Asanti or another African nation. We're still before the Scramble for Africa so it might be possible to play as an African ruler, willing to trade with the Europeans to gain technology, industry, etc, build up his strength to conquer neighbours and be able to resist European advances when they come.
3) A pirate; just for the sheer hell of causing havoc for a change

I havent played England either, and wouldnt mind giving it a go
I have always fancied playing the Ottoman Empire, but only if a "team" could be co-ordinated to play the majority of the positions. It would be just too annoying to try and play the Empire with the majority of positions inactive.

I agree with Count De Monet. I think the key to all good LGDR games is a good team of regular players, who want to see it through to conclusion. Also they have to forget long standing friendships, just to keep the game in balence. That is the ideal scenario.

Perhaps a good idea, from the count. Organising a game of lgdr with only good regular players involved. Taking the larger nations. This could prove very interesting. How would this idea work, regarding certain long standing friendships though? perhaps two or three little groups would develop? perhaps a nice long game would develop. The idea sounds good and interesting, but what impact would this have on other games?
