    - I've edited this thread, of my own replies, to keep the number of postings down.

Name: Roy - La Gloire du Roy Very Happy

Age: 26 (at time of writing)

    Location: Catterick Garrison

Job: (difficult to decide upon correct title) Skilled labourer

Hobbies: Solo wargaming, cycling, reading novels, watching dvds, Agema

    Agema games played:

LGDR/TGOK - Games 2 & 6 (currently) But also I've played as Blackbeard & Savoy-Piedmont in two previous games which I had to finish early due to ill health. Oh, & I played England briefly but the game closed due to lack of players Crying or Very sad

Assyria's End - Shaknu Adad-Nirari of Nairi (who I played as a fellow with a mummy's boy problem, confusion over his sexuality, & the unfortunate liking for mass murder)

Panzers East (I think it was called this) - Germans.

WW2 tactical battles - Germans (played once but I couldn't get away with it)

Pleased to meet you Ginger... I play in Game II as well and find things very interesting there. Instead of England I hail from the States and while being from here I am not a yank, but more a REBEL (From Alabama). Give a shout if I can be of any assistance!

    Hello Kingmaker & revvaughan,

Game II is certainly entertaining I find & definetly fun to play. Very Happy Not that game VI is any less I might add Cool

I've been involoved in four games in total through the years - two previous incarnations being as England & Savoy-Piedmont. Savoy saw my entry into LGDR gaming and truthfully I knew very little back then. The availability of the internet & the publications from Agema have certainly been a great help in going forward in the game - reading works by Scott, Dumas, Tolstoy & the like have helped me as well I might add.

    Woops - I've played in 5.

I've been fiddling on with my avatar, if the size exceeds the file limit please let me know & I'll give it a bash at reducing.

    - Avatar changed as of 9th Dec' 08. The portrait is of a fellow I play in #6, so as to save any confusion in who I am, or not. Roi

You are correct... While in the reinactment units I hold the rank of Major (Medical Officer - Staff) this one looks so much better than a single star. Although, the uniforms are quite nice, and my wife and those dresses she likes. Laughing

Really and interesting hobby... Too bad I have had every little time to enjoy it in the past few years.

I breifly explored the reinactment scene - East Yorkshire Regiment circa 1944 North-Western Europe. (infantry)
It wasn't right for me however, I was too young at the time & kept getting injured.
Locally to me, there's the above, a Georgia CSA unit & the 68th Durham Light Infantry Napoleonic unit.

    A (re-)Introduction of myself.

I was formerly on this forum as Ginger. Life happened. I had to stop my involvement in Agema's PBMs due to ill health. Now I'm 99% fit Richard has allowed me to rejoin his game. Another reason for the new account is due to a new email address and computer - and not knowing any of the old information needed to sign back in.

I've chosen Rozwi in Game 10 (of TGOK) as I fancied something completely different to the European positions I'd had before.

In truth, I'd forgotten about my old username etc. It was only while I've been copying and pasting as much lgdr advice from the forum this week that I spotted that my old account was still there. I believed that I'd deleted it, or something. By the time I'd started the application to rejoin I never thought about seeing if such as what you said was possible.

    Anyway, no worries. Thank you.

This is how the position was sold to me

Agema wrote:If you prefer something more low key, the Kingdom of Rozwi can be played, which is smaller and more isolated and situated in the south-east of Africa.

I didn't fancy the Asante Union, as there seemed too much contact with European powers early on in the game. Looking at the Agema maps of Africa from other games, there's the Portuguese colony at (modern day) northern mozambique and the Dutch at the Cape Colony (South Africa). I'm hoping the isolation will allow me some time to settle in and cement my position, before the other Europeans players arrive on the Eastern coast.

    An excellent plan Smile

Should also give you plenty of time to find a European friend, with no colonies or outposts anywhere near you, whose willing to help you develop...

images of two Rozwi spearmen, prodding at a foreign object with their weapons, immediately comes to mind...

    "What's this then?"
    "Dunno."
"How's the mudwalls on your house?"
    "Baked."
"When do you think this Iron-Age's gonna end?"
    "I'll ask the Witchdoctor..."
