    Hi,
I have taken over the position of Italy. I am interested to know what the former king of my great nation did!
I know this is an out of character post, sorry about that! Embarassed

Looking forward to play this game!

Not much that I was aware of but I started after the game had been running for a few years in game turns, so I think you will need to get a reply from players in it from the start.

Germania - lederhousen, sinking battleships (mine not others), dodgy tuba bands, and a cabinet like a carry on film.

    Welcome onboard Greybeard Smile

Don't recall much about Italy-they did start to assist Siam in its conquest of China (then withdrew I think) and I am sure they lost some modern rifles at some stage that later ended up in the hands of someone who shouldn't have had them?  Also I seem to recall some Italians being active in Bavaria when the German Empire was having a bit of a rebellion, whether they were involved or just sightseeing I don't recall.

Thanks Jason and Basileus for the answers.
I bought all the newspapers at wargamevault.com.
After reading the newspapers from 1850 till december 1956 I know what Italy did in the past few years!

Still have a lot of questions about the game, have to dig my house out of the snow now, more later!

    Hi Greybeard,

Hope you have escaped from the snow. Ref the Britannic Times accounts of Italian Opera and the doings of brave Italian explorers and chefs in darkest Africa I would say that this is the White Legand cooked up in Rome for the public.

If you believe the accounts in the Britannic Times all the Brits are spiffing chaps (sadly slandered by the Press) and the King of Sima is one of the most honourable chaps in the world.

The new player for Sima started out thinking this way and was baffled to find out most others players believed his govt to be a front for Triads, Opium dealers & Slavers!

I do not know what the King of Italy & his Govt actually did 1850 to 1856 but I do know they seem to have been allied to a) The King of Sima.......Triad & Opium Trader & b) Napoleon III Emperor of the French, Warlord, Nun Lover & 100% Loony.

If the Govt of Italy is judged on the company it kept 1850 to 1856 one has to wonder what exactly the Govt of Italy was doing away from the papers & why exactly did so many Austrian Ships etc sink?
