Re: Supremacy 1914
When I joined there was 10 active players they slowly dropped out leaving 6, Russia was the first to go when he was attacked by Romania, never understood why he traveled all the way to the Med to attack Greece when there was plenty of targets on his border computer controlled players.
That left Greenland and southern USA, GL dropped after he tried to attack GB for some reason and sent all his forces on a march to attack Africa!
South USA dropped for no reason he was doing well and could have taken GL and the whole west bit but dropped.
Really need to form an alliance early on with some players so you do not tread on their toes when attacking.

Re: Supremacy 1914
Thanks Kingmaker, I started day 1 with 30 other players. I set up a passive (non aggression type) alliance early on with Russia to secure our mutual border (I have Caucasus) and allow expansion in different directions. Funnily enough at the same time as your advice came in Spain offered me an alliance so I took that up - Spain has been a lot more chatty than Russia.
The game is 1020359 if anyone wants to guest login, or I can post some screenshots if anyone is interested.

Re: Supremacy 1914
early on you will find food is the main drive as you need it, later oil and coal become more important as your forces build up.
also just looked at your game only 3 active players the rest are either inactive or computer controlled. Russia, you plus Spain.
So I would agree a plan to split Africa with Spain so you keep on his good side and the same with Russia. The big problem is getting to the USA as it will take usually a day or so for your guys to cross the Atlantic.
Near the end you will all push for the most points however you are all winners unless some one else takes a place in the game.
Also you are at the back of the map so makes it hard to get further across, jsy agree who has what and stick to it and it will be a 3 horse race.

Re: Supremacy 1914
Thanks Kingmaker. Norway is active and North Canada goes inactive for a couple of days before reactivating. I should get the resources I need from East half of North Africa.
Also artillery is more important than I initially realised for capturing towns.
Thanks again.

Re: Supremacy 1914
Oh yes srty is the key and later railguns followed by battleships for coastal cities. Have arty groups of no less than 3 if you can.
Also do not forget to buildrailways and ports it helps movement and increases production
