game 8: Austria

In game 8, Austria appears to have gone inactive. Can anybody confirm for me one way or the other?

Don’t know. Never had much to do with Austria. Shame to lose a big nation like that. If that is the case.

I can't confirm either... I hate to lose someone in Game 8 since the world there seems to be getting more and more interesting with each month.

It has been years since I was in contact with Austria so have no idea.

My favourite game so it would be sad if it imploded due to lack of players.

Well, if it is inactive, now would be a good time for somebody to take it over!

Big positions are rarely available. So, if anybody's interested, now would be the time.

Also, The marriage of the crown prince of hispania and the austria-hungarian princess have just seen the birth of a daughter. So cause for celebration.

I couldn't say anything more without risking violating diplomacy rules, I think.

Austria is back with a bang. They just declared war on the Ottomans.

Just out of interest Deacon, why has Austria declared war on the Ottomans? Been out of G8 for just over a year now but can't recall any dispute back then that might have led to war

Fantastic turn. Austria gives a very dramatic proof of life there, by declaring a crusade.
& the French Ambassador drowned by Tsar’s chums in Moscow.
Looks like G8 is about to go gangbusters (or gangster?).

Interesting.......If the Emperor has caught religion and the Treaty of Karlowitz is in the bin........which other treaties signed by the Emperor are now not worth the paper they were written on?
