Happy Christmas everyone!
Not sure I'll be browsing past this forum again before the Big Days (when we and I are off to Norwich to Christmas with my big brother), so... Here's wishing one and all the best of times, peaceful, contented and fun, free of stress, and plenty of illusions of imminent 18th century triumph in the New Year!

Same. Happy whatever you celebrate!
I've had my holiday, so I'm holding down the office over the holidays. Hope people will keep me entertained here, because there won't be much work to be done.

Merry Christmas everyone (or Season's Greetings, should you prefer?)
If anyone is suffering from bad health at this time, then you have my complete sympathies and thoughts of getting better soon (I'm, obviously, ill, myself).

I've come down hard with a cold in the last 24 hours and am feeling quite sorry for myself. I'm a total man-baby about being sick!

Look on the bright side.....you get over a cold. Some of us suffer from the long term condition of being England (and Somerset) cricket fans with a Boxing Day Test Match in Australia to face every four years or so.
Getting hammered by a bunch of colonial types I can take as I grew up with the teams of Lillee & Thompson and then the truely scary West Indies teams of the 1980's. Its the hope being raised in every game of the current series against a very average Australian team and then dashed which hurts!
But happy Christmas One and All (even if your are Australian).

Re: Happy Christmas everyone!
Hmm. No presents this year to help out playing TGOK.
Going to watch The Miniaturist on BBC1, tonight, since its set in Amsterdam during 1686, so I can see if I can get some period 'feel' to help play Agema.

Re: Happy Christmas everyone!
Was (and is) a white christmas here in Portland Oregon. That's pretty unusual for us. Normally it is just cold and rainy here.
We don't do the consumerist thing in our house, but hope everyone got their holiday wishes answered!

Here in Norway it is cold and rain as usual in winter, a week since last time it was snow on the ground.

Re: Happy Christmas everyone!
27th update
The Tsar family has met at the dinner table the 24th of December, to celebrate the nativity of Jesus.
It seems that, at least in Italy, the celebration was involving a lot of eating an drinking (not sure if Jesus appreciates this, being atheist i'm weak on this point).
This morning, at around 10 o'clock, i had a coffee that put the word "END" to the dinner of the 24th. I'm astonished at how much an italian family sitting around a table is able to eat. We had the availability of 5 grandmothers (32 people in total) that prepared at least 15 tonnes of pasta, cooked 16 different animals and used at least 2 charts of vegetables. 3 Barrels of vine had been drinking, along with a bottle of Grappa and Brandy to help digestion. Notably, one cheer was dedicated to the friends of Agema, all the fellow players and Kingmaker who kindly hosts us here (but to be honest, at that point of the dinner we could toast on almost every argument possible).
After 3 days, the living room looks like Stalingrad at the end of the siege. We had one marriage proposal and one divorce during the lunch and suspects that at least one future cousin has been "fabricated" during one of the pauses.
I feel overloaded, i cannot find a better term. I'm anyway happy because i've been able to delivery my turn the 24th, with a considerable advance. It has never happened before. Boss has called from office, holydays will have to wait as last minute jobs are to be done. 2017 is ending the same way it has begun, bad, and i feel 2018 will not get better. Well, at least we've celebrated!
Have a nice digestion you all!

Have to say Nexus, your dinner almost sounds like a Glory turn in its own right.
Mine was very calm by comparison, just me and the other half...and a cocker spaniel begging for treats from the table...

All the best for 2018, everyone.
Or should that be 1702 / 1705 / 1708 / 1712 / 1860 / and sometime in the future of Space
Possibly we might get to include the Pax Romana in the above, during 2018
