    Hiring Swiss Troops Empty Hiring Swiss Troops

    At the risk of sounding like I am asking a silly question...

    To meet a manpower shortage, in one game I am considering trying to hire Swiss troops (well everyone else does so why be the odd one out Very Happy )

    On the practical side, as I have never hired foreign troops before, if I do hire some Swiss units, am I right in saying I will need to arrange getting them from the Swiss Cantons to where ever I want them?

    yes and depending on the distance that will take time AND if you forget to pay the hire fee the go back

    Thanks, that's useful...I guess there is also the issue of getting permission of A N Other nations to allow them to pass through their territory...

    depends which game you are in, in game 2 that could prove to be a problem depending on which "side" you are on
