Treaty Repository...

Let's get busy then. I know that Moshe has quite a bit of information gathered and I have been the recepient of some of the lengthy treaties in game.


Now all I have to do is sit here and wait for the turn from both my games to arrive. Been a week on one of them and I am starting to get because I have done all of the I can waiting on the turn. Now I am growing that may have gotten Richard and won't bring him back.

Ah, treaties. I agree that I used to recieve more of these years ago, in real life, and I am going to start next game year to tie-up some treaties in one of my in-game positions.
But on the other hand treaties bring too much law into our little worlds and chaos should rule supreme
Rules of war & the like Trade treaties and agreements
There's no profit in peace so we must fight some more.

Just looking at my latest turn & I've got a treaty from another country asking for my signature - first time that's happened in quite some time. Normally it's just gentlemanly agreements through in-game letters.

Treaty Question -

How many copies do you need to send off to be signed. Two, or Three?

As in, please retain one copy for your own records & return the others to me.

Who has copies? I would have a copy, the foreign nation who I am dealing with would require a copy, obviously. But does Agema require a copy?

I have signed triplicated treaties before for this reason a long, looonnnggg, time ago now. I did read my copy of the rules book before I sent out treatise for signature & I read it as not being required to triplicate for Agema's records. Am I in the wrong & should I of sent off three copies to be signatured?

Any help, please?

I usually have 3 copies me, the other and Agema, if he keeps it then so be it if not I have mine!!

Also are we still wanting a reposity asI hae one ready for the peron who was making the treaties for all?

I think my problem about the issue, looking back at it is this. I received a letter from the foriegn player, they stating they have signed the treaty & have included with this return letter. I cannot find the returned treaty it was not attached. There is no sign of a paper clip mark or puncture holes from a staple so I am feeling that both pieces of paper, the letter & treaty, were posted back seperate to Agema & to show this in game terms the GM has allowed for the completed document to become lost in the system somewhere & is floating around in embassies/government buildings.

without giving too much away ....letters can be intercepted, there is a way to combat this though......

write back asking for said treaty and ask him to ensure it is "attached" to his reply!!!!

No, I was just concerned I'd made a big mistake personally, with not including a third copy of my treaties for Agemas records as well.

When I send a treaty (or whatever) for signature, I send one copy for Richard to copy (1 copy for Agema & 1 copy for the recipient nation, the original to be returned to me [signed])! Once the document is returned, I put it into a folder entitled ("Diplomatic Correspondance")! This folder has individual folders with the name of an individual country (for example "Russia") on each folder! In the individual country's folder I keep a copy of every treaty & diplomatic letter I receive/send from/to that country, with a coded number/letter
system referencing them one to another.

In the main folder, I have a seperate document with every country listed, the number of documents inside the folder(in parenthesis) beside the country's name, the documents inside the folder being listed underneath that country's name! Other people use different systems (if they use a system), this has just been a short description of the system I use, and, it works for me (and, it works very well)!!!
