holidays and glory

I am on my way back to Cusco from Macchu Picchu.  While I have wanted to do this tour for years, glory really does add fun to some of my trips.

In Cusco, for instance, there are 8 (!) Churches off just the main square all built by the conquistidores. I can see the simplying logic Richard applies with 50k for a church, there is no way a realm could really keep up with period.

It is a bit facile, but I find I am more engaged when I can joke with my wife that I own all this.

But beware going somewhere which you have attacked. Lol. Those trips can be dangerous. The natives have long memories. Lol.

I really enjoyed looking looking out over the Goldern Horn from "my" Constantinople Palace.

Every Ottoman Player should take this trip.........but it was a bit of a shock to find out most Sultan's were dominated by their mother's.
Some how having a Harem does not seem that erotic when I found out it included the Sultan's mum and she picked its members and generally ran things.

yup been there twice now Palace is an amazing place.....
