Just to clarify....
Game 8 - treat the first turn as a normal turn except you can't create army or fleet formations or patrols.
You can do normal things during the turn (except you can't form armies or patrols), but take into account depending on how much work we get in certain things might get delayed since priority is being given to the deployment of forces and appointment of ministers. That said, trade investments and building academies is permitted, as is writing letters or sending in an article for the newspaper.
Game 8 - treat the first turn as a normal turn except you can't create army or fleet formations or patrols.

I am going to stsrengthen my trade//financial/diplomatic connections this year, so I'll be prepared for what's coming! Being the King of England and the Stadtholder of the United Provincs is new to me..........I may have to appoint a Regent to run England! I haven't decided yet! I'm still sorting out all of ny diplomatic mail! Everyone wants to my good friend at this point, and, so far, everyone is very friendly to me! Of course, I haven't heard from Spain yet, I imagine they've troubles enow! Any trouble that we receive, will be from unstable Spain, whether it's intentional or no! I personslly hope & pray that we have at least one year of Peace first!!!

Hello Moshe. Sorry could not get in touch last month.Alot on. Will put it right next month. Spain is not unstable, it is very stable, intact and will stay that way.I would regard England and the Dutch as friends of Spain.As for the jacobites, there are a large force in France.So France could whip up a force and cause problems, if they wished.

I thought James Francis edwardstuart was in France at the start and was supported by the French Crown. Thus would he not be a French pawn rather than an English one?

The Jacobites in exile are listed as a separate player position from England, which is why I asked the question originally.

I think there is always a Jacobite position avaliable at the start of a game. But they tend to stay dead. Players are not interested in the position. It is too small, and what is the chances of taking on the games big powers and winning? I have never seen it done.
