Game 3
Just thought I would open a new topic now seeing as the succession appears to be settled.

Well, apart from the new Emperor thinking he can bully me and my economy taking a bashing it's all ok.

Didn't realise.
Denmark was my first Glory position and its been interesting. I've also managed to keep friendly with just about everyone and have started to expand colonially (on a small scale)-bought a 2nd West Indies outpost off India (yes, India) and found a 'lost' Danish colony north of Sermapore. Until the 18th Century credit crunch hit, I had planned to approach France and try and buy back Iceland.
One day, I'd really like to play an 'intact' Denmark (still has Norway, Iceland, Greenland)

Re: Game 3
my turn arrived by email yesterday but still have it posted as well, old habits! And only get my letters in the postal reply.
Optimistic because Austria transferred control of a Budapest orphanage to me this turn.... small events like this point to a conclusion of the various succession issues.
When my cavalry left Ceuta they were Spanish but arrived with Burgundian flags that they must have dusted down after years in their saddle bags!

Re: Game 3
Anyone else's economy suffering?
Spain is waiving tax this game year as a stimulus for the economy and a coronation celebration for King Joseph's subjects.

Re: Game 3
The campaign in Morocco is running perfectly.
With regard to Hungary, which was unified with Croatia in 1102, while Hungary, Austria and Croatia shared a monarch the boundaries of each state weren't an issue. However now that King Joseph rules Hungary and Croatia Austrian forces still occupy Fiume and Zagreb

Re: Game 3
Anyone who has been in game three long enough: do you remember if the current Stuart dynasty in England was the result of a successful (and more importantly, an entertaining) Jacobite position? With game 8 approaching, I thought I'd ask about what seems an interesting ahistorical outcome.

Re: Game 3
I was surprised that the Jacobite position was succesful and reclaimed the throne in game 3, all those years ago, but with the players in game 8 so experienced I doubt it will happen again so easily, if at all.
