Re: Game 6
welcome to game 6
I dont think you have missed too much, in terms of European politics in this game. There is some tension between a couple of leading families but since the resolution of the Spanish Succession its kind of verbal jousting.
There seems to be an uneasy peace across Europe the moment.

Re: Game 6
Hi
welcome to game six. Which nation are you? always good to get new blood in.There is gold avaliable right from the off, all you have to do is apply to the Twin Kingdoms, who administeres it.The only conflict so far was when Austria took Milan from the Twin Kingdoms. Portugal and Spain are united.A good time to join.

Like everyone else has said, welcome
Peace reigns generally. We did have a bit of a crisis over Corsica recently but that seems to have ended.

Re: Game 6
A general warning from Agema. We are aware as moderators that certain persons have been using the forums' private messaging system to carry out what is very clearly in-game diplomacy. Where this turns out to be the case then in-game your honour score will take a hit. This may seem harsh but the we've already stated on the forum the rules of engagement and if players break the spirit of those rules they can't plead ignorance.
Uhm, to put it another way, you can read this so you now know that not only you know but that we know as well so pack it in!
... Please.

Re: Game 6
Well that is a different turn in Game 6...the French King being deposed by his own brother!

Re: Game 6
Hmm... if I say I'm a new player in this game, and then ask the question that's on my mind, there won't be any prizes for guessing my position, I'm afraid. Ah well. I only have the last two copies (March and April) of the newsletter, so I would really appreciate it if someone(s) could give me run-down on the international situation(s) - especially with more regarding the European presence in Morocco and what it's trying to achieve (and why!) I have a feeling the Pope might be involved?

Turnaround is quite impressive, 17 days and results the day after deadline.

Re: Game 6
Longtime silence on the Game 6 thread - but here's a lonely voice asking - Who's the Pope? (A real-world topical question as well.) I've been going through newspapers and can only find him referred to generically. Clement XI ? Innocent XIII ? And presumably (though I'm not sure why) not currently a player position?

An image I shall nurture in my mind every time the Pope of this game is mentioned... (which is maybe not a good thing).

Well, given the period, the pope has a lot to be grumpy about...

Re: Game 6
It is Clement XI.
This is from the March 1709 newspaper:
Freiherr von Rummel has asked His Holiness
Pope Clement XI if he would be willing
to go to Milan to perform the wedding
service there in July?

Ah, excellent, thank you for that, Baron Frank. (Though I might have preferred an Innocent...)
