The French have already attempted something like this in Scramble ........being staged by the French lead by Bonney III & with Otto von and his Tuba taking part it was a bit of a disaster as I recall. The Brits declined to take part & someone dropped dead on stage.

Which game has more European countries that could enter?

I could see it work in both games. If I tried it in Scramble I would limit it to just my home country, however, and play it as a means to boost my own prestige and create for myself a popular character that has some power over the population due to their popular success. I played in a short-lived play by email game where I did just this; created a national song contest, had my character 'fall in love' with one of the singers (she didn't win, the GM had her come 3rd), but my character did marry her and my plan was to play her as a version of Evita Peron. But the game soon ended after that (the GM was a friend who wanted to see if he could still manage PBM/PBeM games, but unfortunately he was unable to manage the stress anymore).

If I was Scotland, say, in Glory, and wanted to host an International singing event, I would send embassies to each country in Europe and have them get printed in each country - in every language spoken/read in that country - leaflets promoting the upcoming song contest. There would need to be a cash incentive for entrants to take the time and effort to enter. Stipulation would be that it would just be a musical piece (so really, entrants would need to be composers or instrumentalists) to get past the language barrier. Entrants would make themselves known to the Scottish embassy in their home country, which would pay for their safe travel to the event's location. For the event you'd have to pay for it like a social event, etc., and you'd need some sort of judging panel who were impartial and acceptable to all (I was going to say Churchmen, but there could be protests over sectarianism). All in all, I'd say it is do-able, but I'd think expensive.

Maybe if two or more players agreed to shoulder the costs for the event, share an annual competition, and limit its entrants from their own nations - and, possibly, selected other nations - then it might be easier, and cheaper, to hold such an event. Or, if the host nation put it out in the newspaper that they're to host an event and invite other player's to send their countries entrants, etc., it might be a better option?

Just my thoughts, obviously. I don't think the Rozwi Song Contest would prove popular, so I'll give the idea a miss (come to think on it, I've already held an impromptu dancing competition in a Rozwi village, where the local area was invited, and the winning women won for themselves beaded necklaces and their village headman a cow from the royal herd).
