A peaceful France may well make the gentleman happy, but we shall see.

Re: Question regarding game 2
I think the concern over "peaceful France" is stretching reality as bit. I can keep in character in the game but in the forum the reality is French troops are within their borders and the Prussians are invading and tryiong to annex Bonn, Paderborn, Baden and Saxony (having annexed most of Austria etc etc etc). Peaceful France?! Give me a break it's not 1700 anymore!

Re: Question regarding game 2
At least your position should be interesting. Talk about being thrown in at the deep end. Good luck with your plans anyway.

Re: Question regarding game 2
thanks, its an honour to play the french position, if you play well it should make the game more interesting for everyone, but i hope we can get more minor players involved too like hesse-kassel and hesse-darmstadt, any takers?

Re: Question regarding game 2
I'm glad to see i have clarified things, by asking the kaiser what he wants and to meet for talks (and offering a pre-emptive ceasefire, i know im too soft, but thats me) war will be averted. we shall see but in the meantime im off to the opera...i hear handel is just getting better and better...

Re: Question regarding game 2
Russia is involved in Venice... There was a problem with pirates there some time back and the RN sorted it out and returned the ships to the Russians there.

Re: Question regarding game 2
Last thing I heard from the region was some time ago... The typical wrangling over ports and such were the topics of the day. I will look back through the papers when I get a chance.

The swedes tried to bring direct rule to Denmark. A bit of fighting, nothing too serious and all for nothing.
