Re: Question regarding game 2
At last the waiting is over. Sorry Baggins, but treaty obligations etc. I will answer your letter and deal with all the points you have raised. Take care.

Re: Question regarding game 2
i think the problem IS that people still think it is still 1700. I hope to convince Players in game 2 France is no longer the most powerful player in the game!
Now that's an odd objective for france!

Re: Question regarding game 2
quite a turn last time, swings and balances - France happy about Strassburg and Lorraine, Prussia must be happy about the mistake of attacking Spain.
All in all I think the Prussian player has completely run down his armies to desertion levels and as some (that are left) are still in the field, even with winter coming this is his biggest problam. Still, given his numerous alllies, its going to take the Prussian player a few turns of bad news to realise he has to negotiate away some of the military gains he has made...not just accept he is not going to make any more at this cycal and least...and France has to prove this was not just a one off...
shame since France doesnt even want to be at war at all

Also, note a complete lack of newspapers for game 2. If someone wants to send them to me, then I'll happily parse them and put them on the wiki!

No, I've not received anything. I'll PM you with my e-mail address, in case you've sent to the wrong address.
I'm currently away until Friday (Science Team Meeting *yawn*), so I can't do so much until I'm back home Saturday.

Re: Question regarding game 2
France annihilated one Prussian army at Strassburg and sent another into flight - looks the Prussian's bluffed and were continuing to besiege Strassburg even though their SL: was very high, probably SL8 or 9. Seems likely the other Prussian field armies are also exchausted so even the winter break (3-4 months) is not going to help them repair completely.
Lorraine declared she will join France V Prussia unless Prussia guarentees her neutrality. Hungary is now formally allied to France.
France - so it seems - attacked Charleston probably thinking it was British but it turned out to be Spanish!
So a good turn for France, but maybe not next turn if Spain declares war on him too.

Re: Question regarding game 2
Britain and Prussia are at war with France. The Great Moghul has joined agains tthe French and it is likely that Spain will join agianst the Frenchies as well. Only time will tell what will happen in the world known as Game II.
