A wise man knows not to trust that von der Decken...and certainly not allow him within arms reach

Re: Question regarding game 2
When the Prince of Hanover arrives, he has the Kaisers word that van der Decken has locked his goat up for the duration of the visit, not sure about the comfy chair & the soft pillows though.
The Kaiser has had the Dungeons cleaned & the thumbscrews oiled for the impending visit of the "honourable?" Princes of the HRR.
Hope they all like sausages

Re: Question regarding game 2
So von Decken has found a woman in trousers & the Prince of Hanover has arrived in Berlin, surely a coincidence.
Kaiser has put out the feelers for Imperial peace & togetherness, a sort of team hug before the march on Paris perhaps.
Sweden refuses to let the Danes rule there own country & have sent them to hide in Holstein behind Prince Clarence & the might of the Hanoverian Navy.
In Berlin the Kaisers mother has confined him to bed & won't let him out to play with the Prince of Hanover, who is busy polishing his Bust in the embassy.
IN Mexico it seems the locals have a new way of making money they dress up once a month as bandits & rob the local church

If the German Princes are going to have a team hug before marching on Paris does this mean the Kaiser (Emperor Elect) is finally going to get crowned? In the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles?? Before the massed ranks of German Princes/Electors ???

I assume the large SoLs in the Navy of Hanover were a gift from George Senior to Little George. Intended to keep him abused and too busy to visit Mum & Dad in old London Town.
All part of the plan of George Senior to keep the Hanovians on the throne of England..........by making sure George Junior does not show up in England to scare the horses etc with his Harem and Janissary Corp etc .

Re: Question regarding game 2
So, it is June 1741...
England and Sweden are arguing over who owns Tranquebar? England (who has troops on the ground) or Sweden (who doesn't)...of course if it is Sweden, then it is now Hanover who owns it...will be interesting to see how this one plays out...
Liege-Cologne has had a busy month, with its prince going to the circus and its army popping into Bonn
Russian physicians have proved there is no intelligent life in Strassburg (apart from the Baden garrison that is!)
Berlin has been a hive of activity, with various princes turning up in readiness for next month's conference...of course, the mere presence of the Prince of Hanover has added an extra level of glamour and respect to the city (what a guy)...and the Bank of Officers and Gentlemen has decided to take on the debts of a load of other banks
The Czar of Russia turned up at Reval with a squadron of Dragoons...leading the Swedes to think he was invading...I know Russians are scary but surely even the Swedish army could deal with 150 of them?
The Royal Navy has been chasing Frenchies...and not capturing them
Spain wants to buy lots of dredgers
Prussia has had a good harvest, whilst poor old India hasn't
Oh, more proof of the utter brilliance and all round greatness of a certain prince is proved by his displacing Blackbeard as 10th most admired individual...

Re: Question regarding game 2
So...G2 and it's July 1741
In London things between England and Sweden aren't going well, following the Swede's trying to flog off some dodgy Indian territory they may not have actually owned. Possession is 9/10ths...and an English army garrison is a lot of 9/10ths...at the same time the English are playing nice with the Spanish over dredgers...
In Berlin, the Princes talk and talk and talk...apparently some madman has suggested allowing the nobles to vote...give them the vote and next thing you know the peasants will want the same...as ever that Great Man, the Prince of Hanover, has shown what a great guy he is by single handedly given out enough cash in Berlin to make each pauper rich!
The Swedes have decided to let the Czar into Reval...now renamed Hotel California...
The people of Strassburg have arrived in Africa and are being let off taxes for a bit...
However some horrible nasty little people down in Stuttgart have nicked some goods belonging to Hanoverian merchants...a tad worrying as that is Kaiser-land...so how long before those nice peaceful friendly Hanoverian Janissary regiments are sent south to make some polite inquiries and ask if those naughty people wouldn't mind awfully just giving back those things that don't belong to them?

Re: Question regarding game 2
In Berlin the Imperial Prussian government is looking for Brave Explorers to penetrate the Heart of the Black continent, Anyone out there wanting to have command of an expedition into the heart of Africa should make themselves known.
As for the robbery at Stuttgart, it appears that it was a large consignment of feather dusters, is this some new fandangled interogation equipment being sent to Hanover?

Re: Question regarding game 2
In Berlin I wonder if all the talk about votes will actually work, the idea is to try & set up a sort of constitutional monarcy with the Diet having a say in law making , but with a chancelor appointed By the Kaiser actually running the show, in a similar way to the Deutsches Reich in 1871. Has anyone actually brought in any major governmental reforms anywhere in other Games. Or are the Absolutionists out there in the majority.

It may well be that a certain Major of Dragoons, gets sent to a certain city where a certain Hanoverian Prince has lost a certain Feather Duster Shipment.

Been a while... Thought I would say that George Sr. is still lurking about the forum form time to time. Events in Europe could become interesting again!
